1. He comes from Japan.
comes from: country or town where you were born.

2. Reports are coming in of an assassination attempt on the president.
come in: Recieve news

3. Jack's come in for quite a lot
of criticism of late.
come in for:  Receive (criticism or praise)

4. we come back home very late.
come back: Return

5(A). she came across my old school reports when I was clearing out my desk.
come across: find by accident.

5(B) he came across as shy because he spoke so quietly.
come across: The way other people see you.

6(A). The price of computers is coming down.
come down: Fell in price

6(B)  when you're next to London, come down and see us.
come down: Travel

6(C) The management really come down on/upon him for losing the contract.
come down on/upon: criticise heavily

7(A) I picked it up and the handle comes off in my hand.
come off: when something breaks off

7(B) I was surprised when the plan comes off so easily.
come off : be succusfull
